A New Year’s Resolution with Purpose — 9 Comments

  1. Janis, This is a great post! I love the quote from the movie which you shared. May we come to Him when we feel broken as He mends, He restores & so find that we fulfill the purposes He has set for us. This post is a great reminder that as long as we are drawing breath, our lives still have purpose. Have a blessed Sunday!

  2. Hi Janice,
Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. I am sitting here with a dog on my lap…resting, the only thing I am able to do today. So I came here and read your post on purpose….and I realize I need to find one in during the health struggles I have. One thing I can be is an encourager with my words. So here I am…keep writing…your words here are just what someone needed to see today, me included.

  3. Great, practical advice. #5 has always been a challenge for me. And that is precisely why I think God gave me the word JOY for 2014. Some days it takes more work than others to find the JOY, and to be thankful for the difficult circumstances that come our way – but, there is always the Presence of the Lord to bring JOY closer to our hearts.

Really loved your beautiful photos – especially the first one!

    GOD BLESS, dear friend!

  4. Janis, there is great wisdom here. I have Hugo on my to watch list and you have spurred me on to watch it soon! I love your practical suggestions about how to handle life when your purpose seems to have gone.
Thanks for sharing at Essential Fridays.

  5. You have hit on a great truth, Janis.I see many people struggle with this through the various stages of life–children are off to school, empty nest, retirement, loss of spouse. Life is a series of adjustments that require us to stop and find our focus all over again. Great post!
