The Good Shepherd Leads Us
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows,
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.”
Psalm 23 NIV
The Lord has led our sister-in-Christ home. May she dance in His presence and rest beside still waters, praising His name forever.

I’m sorry to read about your loss and look forward to meeting her one day. This is a verse that literally comes alive just by reading it. What a comfort His Word gives.
There is no loss when you know where your loved one is.
Blessings and thank you for that lovely photo and psalm.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Keeping you in my thought and prayers!!
Blessings to you and all who celebrate your loved one who has gone before us!!!
This is my Mother’s favorite passage and I am always overjoyed to remember her tears of gratitude upon reading it.
May we all rejoice, knowing that the Lord, Our Shepard, has prepared our way today.
Bless your beautiful spirit!!!
Janis….computer problems and general junk has bombarded the day…THEN, when I get on, I come here and THIS WORD! It’s perfect! It is refreshing and exactly the reminder I needed! LOVE when He does that…

So sorry for your loss. May your family truly be comforted by His love and grace.
Thank you all for your lovely thoughts and encouragement here. We just got back from the funeral for our beautiful friend, mentor, and sister–in the Lord. She was only 41 years young but had such a passion and love for the Lord that it poured out onto everyone whose life she touched.
Her passing was unexpected, so we all were stunned. But through it all, you can see the beauty of God’s grace and love calling her home to see Him face to face. We who are left behind are in pain but we know she is experiencing joy in His presence.
Her passing lights a fire in my heart to pursue God purposely just as she did.
May we all be blessed in that pursuit.
From My Heart to Yours,
Janis

Prayers for the family of this lovely Christian woman.
Yes, it is such a comfort, isn’t it – to know that we are led every step of our lives, and especially on our last journey into His eternal green pastures!
GOD BLESS!
It is different when we lose someone who knows Our Lord. It’s sad for us – but not as heavy – knowing where they are. Still, it has to hurt. I just said a prayer for you – and all those close to her. God bless you and yours this day.
That’s such a lovely picture to go with a beautiful Psalm. God bless you in your loss.
