Friendship is Good Medicine

A Friendship Candy Bouquet |
Hubby has spent the past week recovering from knee replacement surgery. Our whole focus has been medicine, sutchers, knee exercises, swelling, icing, clicking joints, and all the gore that comes with surgery.
We’ve had few visitors except the nurse and the physical therapist. And I’m grateful for both of them, their expertise and their understanding. But there’s nothing like friends for making you feel better even if you aren’t.
Tonight, our good friends brought over pizza, popcorn, and a bowl exploding with candy to lift our spirits and to share a fun movie together. Hubby reclined in his Lazy Boy (no pictures allowed) while we passed around the flowering Red Vines, Milk Duds, Good N Plenty, Dots, Milky Way, and chocolate nuggets. We laughed together through one of our favorite movies, “New in Town.”
As my friend says, “Laughter is good medicine.” So is friendship.

Friends are the best for lifting our spirits! What a thoughtful gesture and the candy bouquet is cute as can be. Hoping your husband recovers quickly. God bless you both this weekend.
It only took half a second to figure out which is more satisfying – a friendship candy bouquet or friendship itself. No, I’m kidding – it was NO CONTEST!
Friends are the sweetest thing in my life – and you are one of the sweetest friends!
Hope hubby has a quick and uncomplicated recovery!
GOD BLESS!
Hi, I am your newest follower, and that candy bouquet is a real pick me up. I can tell that your friends are great medicine, and I have not seen that movie yet, I will look for it.
A visit from a friend can help heal a whole passel of hurts. Glad yours reached out to you in such a fun way. Blessings!
