His Fragrance Surrounds Us
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.” 2 Corinthians 2:14-16a NIV
Have you ever been around Christians who draw you in just by their presence? They exude the peace and gentleness of the Savior. Their loving demeanor captivates you and you desire to just BE with them. They fill your senses with beauty as the soft petals of an exquisite flower. They are your breath of fresh air.
If you long (as I do) to give off the fragrance of the Spirit to those around us, we must immerse ourselves in the presence of the Lord and to be saturated with His Word that instructs, encourages, and builds others up in the hope given us by Christ.
I have missed writing and visiting with all of my friends here. Hubby had knee replacement surgery and I’ve been playing nurse while he recovers at home. Will be here as I can. Hope you are basking in the pleasures of summer and relaxing in God’s joy and good health.

My Scripture and Snapshot
Wow, I love the photo and the insights you shared. I want to smell like Him all the more. I pray your husband has a speedy recovering.
Blessings,

What lovely, soft layers you’ve caught … I hope the healing goes well for your husband.
I can smell it’s beauty and can only pray that God is bringing out fragrance from my life–I have so far to go. We watched John MacArthur today on TV and it convicted me so much that I must really focus on the holiness of God and where do I stand in light of His holiness. Oh so humbling and reflective.

I’m been around some fragrant Christians — even through the blog world their fragrance come through. What a blessing people like you have been to my heart.
Hoping your hubby’s recovery is short with minimum pain.
I’ve known a lot of people such as you describe. They have been such a blessing in my life.
I hope your hubby’s knee is healing well. I’ve been told I’ll eventually need replacement surgery. It is such a common thing these days.
Blessings,
Charlotte
