  1. Janis – I didn’t realize it was you at first! I LOVE your new home! What a beautiful site has been created for you! May He bless you and your writing here & cause it to thrive and speak to many.
A verse that has been speaking to me this week… “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” (Ps. 62:8). I have been so struck that it says, “at all times”. So grateful for our God who is our refuge, our place of safety and protection.
I am excited for all that God has for you in the days ahead!
    Blessings,
    Joanne
PS – is that a photo of your home? It is beautiful!

    • Thank you for visiting, Joanne. This new home is a creative blessing.
I pray the Lord will bless the writing here as well.
That photo of the home on this page was taken on a side road during one of our trips to Carmel, CA. Isn’t it charming?
      Blessings to you,
      Janis

  2. I love your new “digs”. Janis you have a gift and I am so glad you are sharing it. The joy in your words is evidence of the joy you have in what you are sharing. I reminds me of Eric Liddel in “Chariots of Fire” who said “When I run I feel His pleasure” Keep running girl! I’m proud of you and thanks for directing me to the King!

    • Thank you my dear friend, Julie. Your words encourage. May I always feel His pleasure as I write. What a great image to have in front of me as I write! Pray I keep running!
      Love you my friend,
      Janis

    • Barbie~what a special privilege to have you visit during your time of rest. I pray the words will be an encouragement always.
      Praying for you, Barbie.
      Blessings,
      Janis

    • Wish we could be together sharing a mug of coffee or a cup of tea right now, Mary, to soothe the soul. Will keep praying for you and your hubby.
      Love, Janis

    • Hi Ginger~Isn’t that house charming! We drove by there on our way to Carmel, CA and I just had to stop the car and take a picture. I thought the photo would complement my story here even though the house is not ours. Wish it was. Thank you for visiting. I hope to see you here again.
      Blessings,
      Janis

  3. They do give me a sense of peace. I look at me and see all my faults. Jesus looks at me and delights in me. And old hymn comes to mind–“Amazing love, how can it be, that Thou my God should die for me?”

  4. Oh,
It is so beautiful. What a great “home” for you. Things are ready to move forward. I love the Twitter, Facebook and Google plus exactly where we need to see them. And people can see immediately how to contact you.
Thanks for linking to Sunday Stillness.
    Blessings in your new digs.

    • Hi Janis, thank you for visiting from up in the cold country. I’m glad you like what our designer did to make this site so welcoming and warm. I look forward to the many things The Lord will teach me here and the developments that will come with time. Love you, Janis

    • Thank you, Sue, for visiting this new place given to me by The Lord and my designer. I’m enjoying having everyone visit. Got to have some real coffee and sweet rolls to share. Hope my photography improves and becomes more of a display point here. You are an inspiration with your stunning photography.
      Blessings,
      Janis

  5. Thank you, Linda. It is scary to make a change to a new site. I’m just grateful I had such a knowledgeable designer. And I still contact him to work out the kinks.
    Blessings,
    Janis

    • Thanks for visiting bluecottonmemory~I wish that charming house was ours–along with the location. That house sits on a side road we took one summer on our way to Carmel in Northern California. But glad you could stop by.
      Blessings, Janis

  6. I always love the thought of how He delights in us. It just makes me feel all warm and cozy, kindof like your new home here does. Thanks for inviting us in. It is always a delight to spend time with you here. 🙂
    Much love,
    Beth

  7. What a lovely site to curl up in an easy chair and chat about what the Lord has done for us. Thank you for sharing your story with us here at “Tell me a Story.”

  8. Yes, the house is gorgeous, and I saw that it ain’t yours. But just seeing it would make my heart explode in joy. Have seen them around and about our nation at times when I’m driving from place to place. ANYHOW, the scripture you shared was really neat. And I have many, MANY verses that I rely upon to pull me through this world and prep me for heaven… somehow focusing on the Lord instead of everything around and about me. I’d have to give you the dozens, so all I can say is that what you suggested and mentioned were very good, very heart-touching, heart-prodding towards the Lord.

    Thanks much.

  9. My dear friend Janis,
I love your beautiful words, and blessings from the Lord working in your life. Truly we want to share His blessings and speak them out loud!
    LOVE the pretty house picture.
    Hugs from Elaine

  10. The verses I clung today were from Philippians 4:4-7. I don’t know what it is, but Philippians is one of my favorite letters from Paul to the churches he founded and visited.
    Beautiful new website, Janis. Congratulations.
