A Mother’s Day Remembrance — 12 Comments

  1. Janis, what a lovely tribute! I collect sayings and writings about hands to share with people in the memoir classes I teach, and you can be sure I’ll share this with them (providing a link to your blog, of course).

One day I got out some old family photos, scanned them, and cropped out everything but the hands. It’s amazing how we recognize people by their hands, even without any other part of the picture. A lot of stories can come to mind from just looking at a loved one’s hands. Some day I’m going to write about my mother’s hands. Thank you for your inspiration, and Happy

    Mother’s Day!

  2. Julie~I have tears in my eyes as I read your comment. So blessed we are–so blessed by the friendship, too, that God has given us. You are a treasure!

Mom of M&Ms~Truly beautiful memories on this Mother’s Day! May your day be filled with precious moments!

Linda~Oh, it’s so good to see you here again. How thrilled I am to see that the hands verse blessed you and provided something for you to use as well. Have a Blessed Mother’s Day.

Our Peculiar Lives~thank you. The flowers are lovely to look at and remind me of Hubby’s love for me.

    From My Heart to Yours,
    Janis

  4. Your pictures are amazing. I framed my daughter’s handprint many years ago — she’s 26 now with 4 children of her own. Such a treasure.

May your week be filled with joy and God’s presence.
