“His Eye is on the Sparrow”
“My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the Living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young–
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house
they are ever praising you.” Psalm 84:2-4 NIV
The sparrow, the swallow, and the little humming bird above know the peace and love that are found near the Lord’s dwelling place. Our hearts should also long to dwell close to the richest of gifts found in the presence of our Lord and King. The one true God.

Janis – this is just a beautiful pairing of your photo with Scripture! May we always remember that our hearts are His dwelling place & should long to be in His Presence. Have a blessed Sunday!
I love the gentleness and quiet assurance of this post, Janis. Thanks so much for sharing your heart.
Beautiful photo!!!!!! Love it!
I LOVE the photo, and the Words shared have been among my favorites forever. Thank you… you made me smile which is greatly needed.
Gorgeous photo! Love the Scripture you chose to go with it – that is also the inspiration for one of my favorite worship songs, Better is One Day.
I love that Psalm. What a beautiful reminder. May we abide in Him always.
Blessings and love,

What a beautiful picture. Peace indeed! Thanks for linking up with Scripture & A Snapshot.
My kids all had guesses as to what the nest is made of. Do you know? Hair, spider webs, dryer lint, or animal fur?
