In His Time
Gray clouds covered the sky but they would not darken my day. The Lord had written His joy and beauty across the sky and in my heart. He had ordered His hidden treasures to be placed with love throughout my day. Sweet words from my precious students. Smiles. Hugs. A thoughtful lunch from coworkers. Friends gathered around God’s word in our home. Words. Wishes. Love notes from friends. And then the desire and prayer answered that my heart feared would carry a silence.
He knows the deepest desires of our hearts and He reaches out to fulfill them–in His time. My anxieties and fears, my dreads for tomorrow arise when I cannot wait on the Lord for His answer. But when His answer comes, my heart is filled with overflowing joy. A joy that no demand could produce. The answer, the gift is sweeter than honey and I know the Lord has broken through the darkness.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
“He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.” Psalm 107: 14-15 NIV

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV – so true. Beautiful to read your post first thing this morning. Wishing you Bella a beautiful Sunday.
True words, here, Janis. So glad for the victory and release. It’s not easy to wait for it though!
Awesome picture and Amen to the Psalm verse. Sorry I only just came by, been very busy with moving.
Take Care and God Bless
This was a wonderful word for me today, Janis. My last post was about me grappling with the feeling that I’ve been *shelved* in my life. But, this post greatly encouraged me with the timeless Truth of those three words: “IN HIS TIME.”
Thank you for this.
GOD BLESS!
Just dropping by, Janis – hoping that you and yours are doing well.
Today (12/17) I posted something about a little *escapade* that Marty had – thought you and Chip might get a kick out of it!
GOD BLESS!
