  1. I too read that devotional in Our Daily Bread! I’m not a fan of fireworks but I may rethink that the next time I see our local fireworks! You’ve given me a new perspective 🙂

    • So glad this post will give you a new perspective on fireworks–one that will fill your heart with light and joy! Thank you for stopping by.
      Blessings,
      Janis

    • Thank you Constance for your thoughts about the “explosion of joy that will happen when we meet the Lord.” That’s great! I’m glad you dropped in.
      Blessings,
      Janis

  2. I’m so glad you commented on my blog yesterday or I would have missed this. I absolutely LOVE Disney, and I love the connection those fireworks made. God can use anything to speak to us, we just have to be listening.

    • Thank you for stopping by Stephanie. I’m so glad you enjoyed this and that I heard God using that beautiful display for His glory!
      Blessings,
      Janis

  3. Janis, I have loved seeing your photos of Disney 🙂 because I so love going there. You have brought out a most beautiful connection to their fireworks display. I may not be able to see fireworks without remembering this. I am so grateful we were neighbors this morning at Still Saturday. You always bless me!

    • Joanne, I’m glad you enjoyed those feeble photos of Disneyland’s grand fireworks display. I’m glad there was a You Tube video featuring them.
Your friendship is a blessing, Joanne. Thank you for stopping by.

  4. Yes, Christ will be our light for eternity – No need for any other! Thanks for sharing! I’m your neighbor at #GiveMeGrace! Blessings to you!

    • Welcome, Gayl. Thank you for stopping in. I’m glad you enjoyed the post and related to Christ as our light for eternity!
      Blessings,
      Janis

  5. It has been many years since we went to Disney Land – – but your photos were a great reminder of the beauty of those Disney spectaculars. It will be even more glorious when we view the wonders that God has prepared for us. Yes, they will last an eternity. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.

  6. I can hardly wait to be in heaven and have the light time of Jesus forever. I always smile when seeing the clouds, the moon, the fireworks, and more and more. When I “live” in Revelation… reading it very often… I always think of what you were sharing. I assume I’ll be in heaven soon, b/c of my body and brain issues, and I can hardly wait to see so much, see so many. And rely on the light! Thanks…

  7. I just love fireworks! But, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen them! No fireworks up here in the mountains, no sir!! One of the things that I love so much about a fireworks show is the anticipation. We see the streaking line going up in to the sky, and we joyously watch and wait for the firework to bloom in all its glory! Isn’t that kinda how we should live this life?! Waiting in anticipation for God’s glory to appear. What a finale that’s going to be!!

    GOD BLESS!

  8. I believe God creates moments such as the fireworks to teach us of His beauty and glory. It was logical that you made the connection between the finale and God because He prepared your heart to receive Him in that moment. Thank you for beautiful photos and words today.
