Mother’s Day Gifts and More — 8 Comments

  1. Hi Janis,

Pleased your day turned out for good.

Your blog has spoken to me this morning, thank you.

I know I have negative feelings, doubts, misgivings and unforgiveness in my heart. I know I am feeling unwell physically, emotionally and spiritually this morning, but you and the Lord through you, have encouraged me to be thankful and think of all the positive things and let Him deal with the rest.

    God Bless – Nita

  2. So glad you had a blessed Mother’s Day, Janis. The Lord showered you with many gifts! Wonderful!

  3. Janis, I love your thankful list. And I love that you were able to recognize what was going on inside of you after listening to the sermon. It’s all too easy to think of people who should hear a sermon and yet not look inside ourselves. The Holy Spirit will convict us but are we listening? I love that you were able to admit this. There are areas of my life that have been opened when I truly listen.

I’m so glad you had a nice Mother’s Day. I love the photos and the flowering cactus; oh my! Lovely …despite the heat we’ve been experiencing.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

    • Debbie,
It was so good to hear from you. I must admit that, at first, I heard messages in the sermon that definitely applied to someone else. But this theme of having a bitter root caused by anger hit home because of the ongoing battle I’ve had with anxiety.
The Lord will be working on me for a while in this area!
Blessings to you. And it sure has been hot!
      Love,
      Janis

  4. It’s always good to find you here. So glad you had a good Mother’s Day and for the items on your gratitude list. Blessings for the days ahead.

  5. I’m so glad you had a sweet day. I love seeing you with your boys (even Chip). Blessings, sweet friend.

  6. Dearest friend,

Trying to catch up here in Blog Land. My moving adventure has been completely TIME-CONSUMING. Will try to email you soon with all the yummy details!

I was overjoyed at seeing this precious picture of you and your *boys*! There are few smiles more wonderful than the smile of a mom sandwiched in between her children, huh?! (OK, the photo with the husband is pretty cute, too!) Sounds like you had a great day – I’m so glad. You deserved it…

And please tell Chip that he continues to be the most photogenic “Wonder Dog” in the world!

    GOD BLESS!
