Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
Years ago I concocted my own version of cinnamon toast for a tasty and easy breakfast. I took Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, unrolled them into individual pieces so there were eight triangles on a cookie sheet. Then I smeared about a teaspoon, maybe a little more, of softened butter on each triangle. I then sprinkled some sugar, about a teaspoon, over each triangle. Finally I shook cinnamon over the top of each one–to taste. I rolled up the triangles, slowly to keep ingredients intact. Baked them at 375 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or when they are lightly browned.
Yesterday, I saw this idea for a twist on my recipe. The person who created this had basically added a slice of an apple to my longtime recipe. For watching the calories, the butter was also left out. Try this yummy breakfast treat to brighten up a morning or bring to a brunch!

Hi Janis! Sounds delicious, and adding the apple is a great way to get a little fruit going too 🙂
I have never made this kind of thing from crescent rolls, it looks pretty easy. Maybe I’ll have to give it a shot!

I had English muffins this morning – and I could have had this instead???
This sounds so yummy. Will really have to try it. Maybe I’ll even invite the Pillsbury dough boy over for a cup of coffee, too.

This looks SO yummy! I must try these rolls ASAP. Thanks for sharing.
