Solace
Lying back flat against the grass, I drift with the clouds across the sky. A soft breeze blows and tiny wisps are stretched thin, blue sky peering through. I want the clouds to stay, softness to caress away the cares crammed within my mind. A filter from the bright sun, the rhythm of the floating clouds like a lullaby soothes and covers me in peace.
Three from Here & There is a photography collaboration of three superb photographers combining their work to speak and inspire with one word…or a thousand. This week they have set “Solace” as the theme.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.” Psalm 23:2&3a NIV
In His creation I find peace from the setting sun to the rugged mountains; from rolling ocean waves to thundering waterfalls; from a dozen quail babies marching across the desert fields to the soaring eagle in the sky. All creation sings His praise Where do you find solace?

I find solace in God’s word, in His magnificent awe-inspiring creation and in beautiful words like yours in this post. Thank you and God bless you!
I think I will just float away with that cloud now… thanks for the rest you’ve dropped into my day!
And thanks for linking up with Three! It’s lovely to have you!
Like you, I find so much peace in nature. I love to look at the sky — especailly sunsets and sunrises . . . and the stars at night. I just find comfort in its vastness and beauty.
Hi Angel~His Word is such a comfort. Thank you for your kind comments and coming by for a visit.
Hi Kelly~Floating away on a cloud sounds delightful! I’m glad it brought you rest as it recaptured the rest I felt when taking a photo. Thanks for coming by.
Hi GlowinGirl~We do have a lot in common. God’s creation has always brought me peace, too, even when it does seem beyond my comprehension. Thank you for coming by.

Oh yes, solace in nature! All creation does sing His praise if we just wait in silence to hear and absorb it!

Hi Connie~We do need to be still and know that He is God. Thank you for stopping by.
Hi n. davis rosback~Not everyone knows about quail babies. They are so precious in early summer scooting behind their mama and papa. Thank you for stopping by.

nothing says it like clouds 🙂 I want to be lifted up by the currents of His Spirit and gracefully float, offering solace through my life…
